This Nonprofit is a perfect fit for those that want to make a dramatic difference & are unsure where to go & to whom to give your generous gift of support. You want to know that your money is truly making a difference with long term success. Actually changing the dynamics of our communities & state, through the individuals & families that are served.
We are not just a Nonprofit offering a different twist on services already provided by other sources. However; what makes us so unique, is the fact that we bridge the gap between all other agencies that strive to help those in need. We work closely with these other agencies to fill the ever growing gap in services.

UYSS has established that the most effective method to distribute our services is through the network of existing social service programs & agencies serving our target population groups. This not only assures that we are address gaps in services, that no other agency is able to offer assistance, but that families or individuals that are served have a built in network & support system.

Our unique, productive structure & programs allow us to move in many different directions of changing needs. Making a difference to all concerned by our ability to respond quickly; this can be key to keeping a family's home in tack & becoming homeless that very same day or the next. It is far less expensive to keep a family intact & in place with their current housing.

We offer a opportunity for those in need to maintain or regain their housing stability, not just to get them through tough times, but to get their stability back or to strengthen it so that they can return to/or become a productive member of the community & within their own family dynamics.

Agencies work hard to get their clients to the verge of independence, only to find that there is a gap in services or funding. Resulting in helping up to a point than hoping for the best. We are that missing link to many of these other agencies that are offering part of the equation involved with homeless prevention. These agencies are able to turn to UYSS to complete the goal of either offering an opportunity for families to maintain their housing stability or regain it. UYSS is a measurable asset to these agencies that are experiencing this, allowing them to complete what they have started.

VISION:

There are many families, individuals, adults & children suffering & falling through the cracks. Some either make just slightly too much money to get assistance with a hardship or there are no available foundation, service, program or resources to help with what is uniquely their problem. Many are just a paycheck or disaster away from homelessness. Some are not stable enough to withstand an additional hardship. Most often these families could have kept their housing stability together if they could have found a program to help! WE ARE THIS PROGRAM!

We Care & Believe In You

MISSION STATEMENT:

To "prevent" or "move out of" homelessness. This is accomplished by providing resources to those that have a valid threat to their housing stability, seeking solutions to maintain or gain housing stability, & are already working with an organization that does not have the services or resources to aid in the hardship.

Our average grant requests are between $225.00 & $450.00. This yields an incredible return on our investment in our community as prevention to the high cost of homelessness. What would have cost us $225.00 in prevention would have cost our community $3,453.00 worth of services & resources.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

When those that are attempting to find solutions while working with other organizations, are finding that they are falling through a gap in services, can come to Uniquely Yours Stability Support as a referral from that organization. We will attempt to use our resources to address the hardship that is a threat to maintaining &/or to regain their housing stability.
These resources will go directly to the solution not the applicant themselves.

The applicant will also sign a consent to allow UYSS to track their progress for 1 year. Allowing for follow-up to confirm that our resources did indeed strengthen their desired ability to thrive, contribute to their community, & keep the family together as they move forward to support independence.

We are determined to not only make a difference but to offer proven facts that support our knowledge that our program does change lives & communities. Not just temporarily but with lasting results.

To use our services an agency needs to register with us. To register your agency; contact us & you will be part of the Agency Link Program. This allows you to make referrals whenever needed.

Please note: Currently we have a limited office space that is donated within another agency. Until we receive the funding to support our own much need base of operation; we are using a message line for our phone contacts.
You may call and leave a detailed message and a UYSS representative will respond ASAP. We will announce any updates to a more conductive system when funding allows. Our main goal is to provide direct client services.

GUIDELINES

1. We have four programs:
     *Homeless Prevention (HP)
     *Moving out of Homelessness (MOH)
     *Service Link (SL)
     *Agency Link (AL)
2. We only address the dynamics of "Homeless Prevention" & "Moving out of Homelessness".
3. Our clients must be actively motivated in regaining or maintaining their housing stability.
4. Our clients must come to us as a referral from an agency already trying to help them move forward.
5. The referring agency must:
     A) Verify a valid threat to the client's housing stability.
     B) Verify that they are unable to help further due to a gap in services or funding.
     C) Verify that no other agency is able to offer assistance.
6. After a proper referral is made, which includes the completion of required forms & documentation; we
     then meet with the family/individuals requesting our services.

The next step is:

A) Going over the referral & making sure that they understand the agreement that they signed as part of the
       referral form, which allows UYSS to track them for one year.
B) Making sure they understand that they can receive services from us only twice in a year.

7. Our resources (granted funds) are never paid out to the client. We go directly to the source of the
      solution. For example: a medical bill, we would pay granted funds directly to the medical provider.
8.  When reaching out to our community for the solution needed to address the hardship, we refer first to our
     "Service Link" program to make sure we are making contact with our area business partnerships. If this
     is a new request, we attempt to reach out to the business in our community that offer the services that
     would be a solution for our client's threat to their housing stability & strive to partner up with them for
     future services needed in that particular field.
9. Other agencies that want & need to make referrals to UYSS on behalf of clients they are working with
     simply need to register with us. They will receive our AL (Agency Link) packet. Which includes; our
     brochure, policy & guidelines, referral forms & procedures. They then become a member of our Agency
     Link Program and can make referral for our services when ever needed.

There is a great deal of success for our target population. They are motivated & active in their strong desire to keep what they have worked for or ready to reclaim their lives again. The larger group of those that we have served are the ones attempting to move out of Homelessness. This is a very exciting group of families & individuals. The return on your generous investment is high. This is insured due to the fact that our services can only be granted on referrals from agencies currently working with these families & can verify the client's ability as well as their motivation to move forward.

The ultimate goal Nationally & even Globally, would enable us to offer aid to these participants, as well as to those other agencies that are looking for funding to maintain or offer services to this population.
With our economy & all the current natural disasters, those that are suffering are finding limited help or none at all. When those in need feel hopeless, there they will find us. The light at the end of the tunnel, offering hope & help is "UNIQUELY YOURS STABILITY SUPPORT".

Examples of Hardships That Have Been a Threat to Housing Stability, In Which UYSS Has Offered Assistance:

As simple as a car repair, so that a parent can go to work, Needed Medications, Rent, Lease Deposits, along with other Housing needs, Utilities, Eye Exam & Glasses for Drivers Exam, Medical Emergencies & Assistance to get back on their feet again.

The possibilities are truly endless. The goal is to offer assistance to whatever the candidates unique threat is to their housing stability.

STORY
I will always remember the first mother that we helped. She was living at the Homeless Shelter. She was in such pain due to a dental problem, that she was unable to move forward to regain her independence. The Case Manager working with her made a referral to us. We swiftly came to her aid, contacted one of our local dentist in our Service Link Program, & got her in right away. She had several dental issues along with a slight dislocated jaw. When I saw her the next day she already looked like a very different woman, trying to smile again. A short while later, I saw her standing in the lobby of the homeless shelter in a suit; she looked beautifully capable & strong. She was so thankful that we enabled her to regain her life!
