Our unique, collaborative structure allows us to move in many different directions of changing needs. Making a impact by our ability to respond quickly; this can be key to keeping a family's home in tack & becoming homeless that very same day. It is far less expensive to keep a family intact with their current housing.
What makes us unique:
UYSS bridges the gap between all other agencies that strive to help those in need. We work closely with these other partners to fill the ever-growing gap in services. Our strong collaborative efforts are evident in our over 30 agencies that have partnered with us as a Agency Link Partner (ALP). These ALP are able to make a referral to UYSS on behalf of the family or individual they are working with that is experiencing a obscale to housing stabily that they are unable to address.
We will attempt to remove that obstacle so that they can continue to work with their support team. We have identified that usually these unmet gaps are due to agencies funding, services, or guidlines.
We have stagitically positioned ourselves behind the scenes to better support our community. UYSS is also stagitically privately funded to allow us to have a faith-based approach. Part of our service is to connect those in need to a Church family to grow their own informal supports.
